Herd Health
Herd Health planning is an essential part of many assurance schemes, but also a useful tool for any farm, providing veterinary input on preventative medicine, infectious disease protocols and a chance to discuss testing regimes. We offer herd health planning to everyone from large commercial units to small holder flocks and alpaca herds. Planning ahead in a herd health plan helps reduce the risk of disease outbreaks and improve the welfare and productivity of farm animals.
Testing and infectious disease management
We can carry out routine and investigative testing for infectious diseases such as BVD, Johnes and TB. We also carry out postmortem examination and testing where needed and liaise closely with specialist pathologists and laboratories across the country during investigations.
